Presidents Cup: Snedeker turns to Thursday's winners to chase 7-3 deficit
Trailing by four at Medinah, the US captain has sent out three of his opening-day four-ball pairs for Saturday morning, while Adam Scott sits out a Presidents Cup session for the first time since 2017.
US captain Brandt Snedeker will send out three of Thursday’s winning four-ball partnerships when the Presidents Cup resumes at Medinah this morning. His team lost all five foursomes on Friday, and the International team lead 7-3.
Saturday is the longest day of the week: four-balls in the morning and foursomes in the afternoon, four matches each, for eight points. The Internationals have not won the Cup since 1998.

Three Thursday winners back together
Thomas and Koivun won 4 and 3 on Thursday, Morikawa and Clark never trailed in a 3 and 2 win, and Scheffler and Burns won the swing match on the 18th.
The only new partnership is Chris Gotterup and Cameron Young, who have both lost matches in the first two days.
Cantlay and Schauffele sit out the morning after the Kims beat them 4 and 3 on Friday.
Ogilvy keeps faith with his winners
Geoff Ogilvy has kept together two pairs with 100% records. Tom Kim and Si Woo Kim have won both of their matches this week and now face Morikawa and Clark. Hideki Matsuyama and Ryo Hisatsune won their Thursday four-ball 3 and 1 and take on Scheffler and Burns in the anchor match.
Conners and Taylor, who beat Scheffler and Burns on Friday, move from foursomes to four-balls. Min Woo Lee and Sungjae Im, beaten on the last green on Thursday, play Thomas and Koivun in the opening match.
It is the first Presidents Cup session Adam Scott has sat out since 2017, according to NBC Sports. He won his foursomes match with Bezuidenhout on Friday.
15½ points to win
There are 20 points left and 15½ wins the Cup. The Internationals need 8½ more; the Americans need 12½. A US morning sweep would level the match at 7-7. A 2-2 split would leave the Internationals needing only 6½ points from the last 16.
