Sale wins the Grand Final; Brown takes the Road to Mallorca

Julien Sale closed with a 65 at Alcanada to win the HotelPlanner Tour Grand Final by four on −22. Hamish Brown's second place made him the Road to Mallorca No. 1, and 15 players earned DP World Tour cards.

Julien Sale won the HotelPlanner Tour Grand Final at Club de Golf Alcanada on Sunday by four shots on −22, with his second 65 of the week. Behind him, MJ Daffue’s birdie putt on the 72nd hole slid past, which left Hamish Brown alone in second on −18 after a closing 67. That was enough to make Brown No. 1 on the Road to Mallorca Rankings.

Sale started the final round one shot ahead. He birdied four holes on the front nine, picked up another at the par-5 12th and dropped his only shot at the 13th, then birdied three of the last six. It is his second HotelPlanner Tour title of 2026, after the Le Vaudreuil Golf Challenge, and he finishes the season second in the rankings. Four Frenchmen had won the Grand Final before him: Nicolas Joakimides (1997), Mike Lorenzo-Vera (2007), Benjamin Hebert (2014) and Clément Sordet (2017). “Coming this week, I didn’t have much stress because I knew I was inside the top 15,” Sale said.

Brown, 27, follows Thomas Bjørn (1995), Joachim B Hansen (2018), Marcus Helligkilde (2021) and Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen (2024) as a Danish No. 1, and returns to the DP World Tour after what he called a tough 2025 there. “Ultimately, I couldn’t win today thanks to a good Frenchman who played extremely well,” he said.
