LPGA 2027 schedule: 33 events, record $147m and Royal St George's

The LPGA Tour's 2027 calendar has a record prize fund of more than $147 million, new stops in Hong Kong and Hawaii, and the AIG Women's Open's first visit to Royal St George's.

Prize money on the LPGA Tour has nearly doubled since the start of the decade, the tour said on Wednesday as it released a 2027 schedule of 33 events worth more than $147 million in all.

The LPGA’s own video runs through the new calendar.

Five majors, ending at Sandwich

There are five majors again, spread from April to the start of August.

Dates Major Venue Purse
19–25 April The Chevron Championship Memorial Park, Houston $9M
31 May–6 June U.S. Women’s Open Inverness Club, Toledo, Ohio $12.5M
21–27 June KPMG Women’s PGA Championship Congressional, Bethesda, Maryland $13M
5–11 July The Amundi Evian Championship Evian Resort Golf Club, France $9.1M
26 July–1 August AIG Women’s Open Royal St George’s, Sandwich $10M

Royal St George’s has staged 15 Open Championships but never a women’s major, and the AIG Women’s Open will close the major season there. The Chevron returns to Memorial Park for a second year.

Hong Kong, Hawaii and a return to Corning

  • Futu Ladies World Championship presented by Moomoo at The Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club, Hong Kong (1–7 March, $3.4M).
  • Back-to-back weeks in Hawaii: the Nanea Cup at Nanea Golf Club, Kailua-Kona ($4M), then the LOTTE Championship on the Plantation Course at Kapalua ($3M), which we covered when the move was announced.
  • The Classic returns to Corning Country Club in New York for the first time since 2009, with a $5 million purse. That is the biggest on the schedule outside the majors and the CME Group Tour Championship.
  • The Championship in the United Kingdom (19–25 July, $4M), venue still to be confirmed, sits between Evian and the Women’s Open (our earlier story).

The Hanwha PLUS International Crown comes back to the United States at Lake Merced, near San Francisco, in September. Australia won the last edition in Korea in 2025.

Guaranteed pay-days and help with travel

Non-major purses add up to more than $94 million, nearly $12 million more than when the 2026 schedule was announced. After The Classic, the JM Eagle LA Championship ($4.75M) and the FM Championship ($4.7M) are the richest regular events. The season finale, the CME Group Tour Championship at Tiburon in Naples, Florida, is worth $11 million.

The tour also says ten events will guarantee a payout to every player in the field, and nearly 20 will offer help with hotels, flights or transport.

Commissioner Craig Kessler said the tour had “made meaningful strides in how our athletes move around the world”. In practice, that means two Asian swings (Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong in the spring; China, Korea, Malaysia and Japan in the autumn) and one European summer swing. In all, the tour visits 11 countries plus Hong Kong, and 13 US states.

Four majors in nine weeks

The summer is packed, with four majors plus The Championship in the nine weeks from 31 May. The opening stretch goes from Florida to Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong and then to Hawaii.

The season opens with the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions at Lake Nona on 1–7 February.
